Well here we are June 1st. I still get that giddy summer vacation feeling this time of year even though I've been out of school for a very long time. You just feel like you can get so much more done in the summer time. Is that why I load up on projects? or maybe to get them done before starting on Christmas projects. Yikes! did I just say that??
Here's what I better be working on this week:
R/W/B Sliced layer cake. Yes this one is still waiting for the sashing to be sewn.
Loving these crumb blocks that are part of a little sewing project for myself (I'll show when done, no matter how it turns out)
Growing up odd : Finally getting the blocks out of the box and sewn together. This one is on my summer goal list. Oh that little tree there, it reminds me as I'm walking out of the sewing room that the iron is still on. It's been there since I pulled it out of the attic last December and was testing the lights. Maybe I'll start putting sewing ornaments on it, or not. :)
Sunbonnet Sue baby quilt: This one is really at the top of the working order because it's a commission quilt and the grand baby is due this month. There really are some blocks that are in good shape and those will become a new quilt for new baby.
This fabulous vintage airplane fabric I bought with the intention of making pillowcases but now I'm thinking of a quilt. I guess no matter the size of the current list I have to have one in the planning stages too.
I think this is quite enough for this week. Linking up to Patchwork Times and Love Laugh Quilt

Design Wall January 7, 2013
I'm working on a couple of things at the same time. I have a little table runner laid out on the ironing board.

The quilt of valor up on the design wall.

I'm not sure how much sewing time I'll have this week, classes start up again. In addition to my upholstery class I've added a computer class on Monday night. I'm looking forward to Thursday quiltathon. It's the only day I'll be able join in but I've got great plans and a long list.
A lot of blogs I read are posting their 1000th post. Well here in my little corner of blog land this is my 97th post. Not so bad for just barely one year of blogging. I'm still trying to make it more of a habit. I will be doing a give away on my 100th post.

Design Wall Monday July 9, 2019

There was nothing on my design wall until this afternoon when I pulled out my July UFO. I know that sounds like I've been working on one UFO a month...But that's not true. Back in December when everyone was making their UFO list, my sewing room was in shambles and I couldn't remember all my UFO's let alone find them. I have a July UFO because back in April right around tax time I came across my charm quilt and when looking at my calendar July looked like the soonest I was going to get to it.
I started this when I was taking a class and was able to use a Accu-Cut. The class ended and never started up again and here I was with baby tumblers, but only about half the the 999 I needed for a charm quilt. When I bought my Go cutter one of the first dies I bought was the baby tumbler. Now I've cut out bunches more and I have my completed rows hanging on the design wall so I don't duplicate any charms. I have a stack of fabric that I've been saving (I think they're all non-repeats) to cut and sew as I go to get it done and off the list.

There is a lot of back and forth and double checking.

Design Wall Monday
Up on the wall today is two small lap quilts. These are for quilt club this week to be donated to a local convalescent home.
I've added the boarders since this photo which is a good thing cause they have to be done by Thursday.
