Stash Report - Week 13, 2012

Do you ever have one of those days where you look at the clock and see it's 1:00 and haven't gotten anything done?  I mean I've done stuff like make breakfast and clean up the kitchen and checked the VCR to see if I recorded the whole Formula 1 race.  There must have been a rain delay cause I didn't get the driver interviews. Now I know who won before we watch it this evening, it's like reading the last page of a book before you start (but I won't spoil it for you  LOL).

I had a list (in my head) of what I wanted to do today and when I finish this stash report I will have completed ONE!!! Yah Me !!

Just a little shopping to complete some projects.

After not doing much sewing the last few weeks I went on a pillowcase binge.  Made Easter pillowcases and then just kept going, fourteen in all, I count them a one yard each !!!!

Added this week:  4 yds
Added this year:  71 yds


Used this week: 14 yds
Used this year:  55.50 yds


Net used 2012:  -15.5 yds

There was no fabric movement here this week.  Lots of work going on like painting and yards but not much sewing at all.  I did get some cutting done but that doesn't count today.

Stash Report - Week 11, 2012

Well, I'm playing catch up here on my stash report.  I've bought fabric the last few weeks, but it has set outside the sewing room door, so I didn't have to count it right?   Right.  I've picked up Easter pillowcase fabric, table runner fabric, QOV fabric, and the backing for the QOV top that is pictured here today.  I'm counting this fabric for the top out because I'm not sure if I'm going to add boarders or not and I just can't list these huge in numbers and not have some thing to show for it besides one pillowcase. :)

Here is my first string quilt.  I've heard how easy and quick they are.  I've been saving strips for some time and when someone at quilt club brought in one I decided it was time.  So I'm thinking about boarders maybe something blue??

To get my yardage for this quilt I measured two sides then did the math for square yards.  How do you measure the yardage for scrap quilts?
